I’ve been invited to be part of this fantastically varied group of artists…I don’t quite know what will happen but I know it’s gonna be good, I can’t bloody wait. Follow @3streetsaway for updates on the comings and goings. What. Where. When etc… #WhatWouldDorotheaDo? #Repost @3streetsaway with @get_repost ・・・ While the @tate mounts a long awaited exhibition of the artist #dorotheatanning – a group of contemporary artists, beginning with a painter, a photographer and a furniture maker – will work from a studio in the same London neighbourhood to create work in direct response to different aspects of Tannings art. Over 9 weeks, from 27th February until 1st May, the process of creating the work will take place at the studio at 1 Doyce Street SE1. As well as being live streamed to via social media, the public will also be invited to participate by dropping into the studio to talk to camera reviewing the Tanning show at Tate and give their thoughts about her work. In a celebration of all things surreal from May 1st until May 7th the collective of artists will mount an exhibition of their work and create a six day ‘happening’ of performance , events and workshops open to the public.
